What does ATS mean in diesel generator sets?

ATS stands for self starting and self switching cabinet, also known as fully automatic switching cabinet. After a power outage, the generator set automatically starts to supply power, and a dual power conversion system, also known as ATS, needs to be installed.

The ATS dual power automatic switching cabinet is mainly composed of an intelligent controller and a high-performance dual power automatic switching switch, suitable for automatic switching between the main power supply, main power supply, and emergency power supply. It forms an automatic emergency power supply system together with a self starting diesel generator set, and the switching operation can be set to automatic mode, manual mode, or switched through manual operation of the switching switch.

The panel displays the voltage and current of two power sources. Frequency, power, and other electrical quantities, while displaying the power supply status of both power sources. By setting the control module, the power supply mode can be set on site as one power priority, two power priority, or no priority (i.e. mutual backup).
